Planning the jump
Skydive Airkix is normally open from 9am until dusk Tuesdays to Sundays.
Whether you’re here for training or to make a Tandem skydive, you need to plan to be at the airfield for the whole day from 8:30 in the morning unless otherwise advised.
On a warm day you only need a lightweight t-shirt under your flight suit. The colder it gets the more you should wear. As a general rule, layers are better than one thick jumper. Loose trousers should also be worn, please don’t wear tight jeans. Please bring trainers or sport shoes, boots should not be worn.
Please make sure you have the right documentation with you, including:
Voucher, Confirmation or proof of payment, Correct clothing and shoes, Valid medical form, signed by a GP if over 40, Medical form witnessed by parents and parental consent form if you're 16 or 17 years old
Finally please remember that Skydiving is a weather dependant sport. We could be skydiving from 8am till 8pm so be prepared to be at the airfield for the entire day. Skydiving requires reasonably good weather, if the forecast is particularly bad (very high winds) we ask you to telephone us to check on whether or not you will be likely to jump.
Optional Extras
The camera package can be purchased on the day of your jump, but it is advised that you pre-book, especially during our busy periods.
Personal accident insurance is strongly advised. Please ensure that you are adequately covered before you commence training. We can arrange this on the day of your jump.
If you want the ultimate souvenir, you can buy your very own jumpsuit. So many people have asked if they can take their skydiving suit home that we’ve decided why not!
