Airmix Competition
Information about this unique combination of skydives and tunnel flights
Airmix is a new and unique Formation Skydiving competition. It is the only competition that requires teams to complete rounds in the tunnel and in the air.
Designed for all levels of formation skydiver, Airmix is a 3 Way event with the emphasis on learning and fun.
Unlike other traditional competitions, each round can be practiced as many times as you like, then sort through your footage and submit your best efforts as one complete package.
Closing date for submissions is 30th September 2008. Results will be announced about a week later at the Airmix Party.
The competition is based on our 3 way dive pool and consists of 5 rounds.
Each of the rounds is carried out twice, once in the tunnel and then in the sky. We repeat - Tunnel flight or skydive, you may practice these rounds as many times as you like, but submitted footage needs to be from Skydive Airkix aircraft (normally based at Skydive Airkix and at Tilstock) and tunnel sessions needs to be at Airkix.

Young Guns
You haven’t been skydiving long and are eager to learn about everything. Not necessarily young in years, but you should still be on your first log book and remember the headache caused by your Cat 8 hangover. This might even be your first team but you're ready to conquer the world.
Hot Shots
Think you're all that? Know all the letters and numbers? Understand what we mean by 'Know all the letters and numbers?'... This is for you. Don't forget the matching suits and full face helmets, oh, and a cool swoop on landing. You might even have a medal or two by now.
Old n' Bold
Need a hand boarding the aircraft? Let out a sigh when you bend down to pick up your trusty frappe hat? Owned any dayglo kit? Say no more. And BTW, we can show those Young Guns a thing or two (can't we...).
Register for the event by completing the form and submit via e-mail to Skydive Airkix.
Registration is open until the 31st August but teams lose five points per month after May from their total score so it pays to register early.
The 5 rounds are published here and sent to teams via email.
At the party, prizes will be awarded. Not only for the winners but for some other more fun reasons such as funniest moment or best exit.
If you tell us your goals and objectives on the entry form, that’s how we’ll see who improves the most.
Although not the point of entering this competition, there will be prizes handed out at the party in October.
